Sure they're upbeat - they saw what happened to Japan and Germany's economies after we flattened THEM

Iraqis and Afghans are among the world's most economically-optimistic people.

Let's see... Zimbabwe and Italy are gloomy, no surprise there... Canadians are optimistic, well sure, they just voted the liberals out and have visions of becoming the Arabs up North with all that shale oil lying around.

70% of the Afghans say their circumstances are improving. You could sneer and say of course, that's because things couldn't get worse, but that doesn't explain the gloom in Zimbabwe and Italy, does it?

The Germans have had a rough go, but they see things getting better. India, Finland, South Africa, Australia, Senegal and the UK are looking at the bright side too.

France? Don't ask.
