Resume cliches

The biggest mistake people make with their resumes seems to be in parroting the language they see in the classifieds.

You know the kind of phrase we mean, classified-ese like "fast-paced environment". So in an attempt to mollify potential employers, resume writes deploy the phrase "experience working in fast-paced environment".

That's not all the pandering you see in resumes. There's a list of 25 words that are red flags to an employer who wants to stop the deadwood at the door.
