The fanboys have taken over the asylum

We're noticing that with the proliferation of increasingly low-cost and sophisticated video tools, sci-fi fans who aren't satisfied with the major studios' fare are starting to roll their own. Star Wreck is a case in point.

Millions have downloaded this Finnish fanboy film, using BitTorrent. We have not been able to do so successfully, winding up with corrupted files. However, we did get the trailer, which you can view here. (Requires Quicktime, and can be really slow to load. Really. We mean let-it-load-in-the-background-and-forget-it slow. Yes, it's worth it.)
