The 21st-Century local paper!
As is often the way of such things: After yesterday's post on the death of local papers, we found Barista (of Bloomfield Avenue). This is one incarnation of the kind of 'blogazine' (we just made that up, maybe?) that will succeed the dead-tree Hoboken Reporter and Jersey Journal. This kind of paper will still tend to be centered around "fluffy" entertainment, but note the blogroll down one side, offering support for (and suggesting the emergence of a new type of relationship with) harder-hitting commentators and other independent writers. The Barista serves the Montclair area.
